1. Why should I go to Ignite?

-Ignite exists because the world we live in today is growing increasingly more fanatical and more outrageous in its values. Whether we realize it or not the ways that the world is influencing our lives can turn out for the worst. In addition the choices that we make, which are based on what we\'ve been taught by the world, have eternal consequences whether we like it or not. Ignite serves as a refuge for lives as well as a Christ centered, life changing ministry that feeds us what we need in order to help us grow spiritually.

2. Why do I want to go to church when I could be having fun?

-What you don\'t know is that we do have fun. We believe that Jesus came to set us free (John 8:36). And with that Freedom in Christ we are able to have fun. We don\'t think that Jesus wants us to live boring lives just sitting around reading the Bible all day (Now remember that reading the Bible is one way to know God more). We believe that Jesus wants us to have fun. That\'s why we go to Lake Mead and wake board, take trips to Magic Mountain, go snowboarding together, go to Hume Lake summer camp, have loud music playing, rocking worship and messages that challenge us to grow more like Christ.

3. Is Christianity the one true religion?

-Yes, the Bible teaches that Christianity is the one true religion. Jesus said that He alone was the way to the Father (John 14:6), that He alone revealed the Father (Matt. 11:27; Luke 10:22).
Christians believe he was the Son of God (John 8:58; Exodus 3:14), who forgave sins (Mark 2:5; Luke 5:20; 7:48), and who rose from the dead (Luke 24:24-29; John 2:19f).
Buddha didn\'t rise from the dead, nor did Confucius. Muhammad didn\'t fulfill detailed prophecy. There is far less reliable information written about them, yet they are believed in.

4. Do I have to wear my "Sunday best"?

-No, we believe that God accepts us as we are. However, we do believe that we need to maintain an attitude of reverence for the Holy God; which means exercising an extra measure of modesty.

5. If God gave us the Bible so that we could understand Him better, then why are some parts of it VERY confusing? Why didn\'t He make everything clear?

-We must admit that there are parts of the Bible that are confusing. If you think the Bible is confusing its because God wrote it, but He used human authors. They used a different language and had different historical and cultural contexts. It was written by over 40 authors on three different continents but still has no contradictions.
There are parts of the Bible that are difficult to understand, but an objective interpretation is possible. It is important to realize that the essential messages of the Bible are clear, and without dispute.
